In order to contribute to community development and fulfill social responsibilities,
KFTC has continued various activities
such as sponsoring socially vulnerable groups, fostering future talents, and supporting arts and culture events.
KFTC and Korea Polytechnic University Anseong Campus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the mutual development of institution and business,
including a scholarship program and industry-specific trainings for the current and future employees.
KFTC and Halla University have signed an MOU to conduct the Industry Professional Practice Program. Through this work-study program promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, students get on-the-job training to grow their skills while earning a wage and a degree, and companies acquire talent by training the students to match their needs.
KFTC and Korea Student Aid Foundation have signed an MOU to support vocational school students to find jobs that match their skills and to help them grow into talented people who contribute to society.
For the advancement of science and technology, KFTC donates 150 million won each year to Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST), which selects and supports individuals with outstanding achievements in education and research at home and abroad or of high potential to develop into outstanding professors.
KFTC is providing scholarships to relieve financial burden on underprivileged students recommended by the Anseong Volunteer Center.
Through Children’s Hankook Ilbo’s Newspaper-in-Education program, KFTC has provided students in rural areas with newspapers to bring real-world experiences into the classroom.
KFTC is also an active sponsor for Kids Dong-A Ilbo’s Campaign,
making donations to local elementary schools to help students build healthy habits of reading and learning.
